THE AJMER SHARIF DARGAH

ANA SAGAR LAKE
Ana Sagar Lake is an artificial lake built by the grandfather of Prithviraj Chauhan in 1135-1150 A.D. This lake is spread over 13 kilometers. AKBAR’S PALACE AND MUSEUM
This palace was the residence of Prince Salim, the son of Akbar. But now it is used as a tourist spot to visit Mughal Architecture and a collection of Mughal and Rajput sculptures. This is a historic place for India as the Farman was read out by Jehangir permitting the trade with British East India Company.
ADHAI DIN KA JHOPRA
Adhai Din Ka Jhoprais a mosque constructed in the remains of Sanskrit College when Ajmer was won by Mohammed Ghori in 1192 AD. All the Jain and Hindu temples were destroyed and their remains were used. It is situated at a short distance from Dargah. This is one of the oldest mosques in India having its unique cultural value.
PUSHKAR LAKE
Pushkar Lake is situated at about 11 km from the city of Ajmer and famous for its Pushkar Fair held around Kartik Poornima (October-November).
