The major attraction of Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is the Sky Theatre. The sky theatre is profoundly amazing as it displays the solar system, the formation of stars and it also teaches us about different galaxies which help us to understand the space in an easy way. The planetarium puts up amazing shows for us.
Dawn of Space Age, Our Solar System and Mars The Red Planet these are some shows put up by Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium. The shows are conducted in two languages that are English and Kannada. It’s very helpful for students, researchers to visit this place. Exclusive Science Exhibitions are also displayed here. Variety of activities including sky theatre, lecture sessions, science model displays as well as science workshops also take place here. If you want to explore the world of space then this planetarium serves your interest! The objective of this museum is to instil interest in science and space so that the visitors can take back with them loads of information. They believe in activity-based learning and this develops interest as well.
There is an amazing show named Know your Stars. This is an extremely special programme conducted on first Sundays per month. It is conducted in the evening and there is a lecture session about space and later you will get a chance to look into the night sky and you will be able to visualise The moon, stars and planets with the help of a telescope. Visitors learn about constellations and they also provide the star chart of that particular day. They teach the visitors about using the star chart and it is clearly explained in the lecture sessions. You will feel glad to know that there is also an outdoor science park which displays amazing models like Resonant Swings, subdials, DNA, Whispering dishes.

Entry fee:- Rs.50/- (For Adult) & Rs.30 (For Children Below 16 yr. Age)
Shows timings:- ( shows are conducted in English and Kannada language)
1.Dawn of space-age timings English 10:30 am and Kannada 11:30 pm
2.Our solar system – Timings Kannada 2:30 PM and in English 12:30 PM
3. Stars show is a new show English 4:30 and 5:30 PM and Kannada 3:30 PM
